By the third entry in a series, fighting games usually struggle to deal with the conflicting need to keep things fresh but also not alienate long-time players. Street Fighter Alpha 3 seems to be the rare exception that manages to do both. Donald and Brad check it out to see if there’s anything that can be learned and applied to other series. Perhaps all Soul Calibur 3 really needed was a really excited announcer.
